In celebration of our 50th Anniversary we are launching our ‘50th Anniversary Small Grants Programme’. £250 will be awarded to 50 local groups (one for each year of operation) in June 2024. Please read the details below before completing your application form.

Information for 50th Anniversary Applications

  • The 50th Anniversary Small Grants Scheme is in addition to our standard grant scheme. Please click on the ‘Application Form’ tab for more information of our Standard grant scheme.
  • Applications will be received from Friday 8th March 2024, the application form will not be live until this date.
  • The closing date for applications is 23:59 on Friday 3rd May 2024 without exception.
  • Applications will be accepted from groups supporting The Arts, Education and the Community within Basingstoke and District only. All groups must be formally constituted.
  • Applications will not be accepted from groups that have been awarded a grant by The Four Lanes Trust since February 2023.
  • Applications are invited for grants of up to a maximum of £250 only under this scheme. 
  • Successful applicants will be permitted to apply for additional grants under the standard programme for November 2024 onwards
  • Applications will not be accepted where if successful this grant is intended to part fund a larger item or project. In this instance please refer to our standard grant scheme. E.G.1, Your group needs to promotional banners with a total cost of £250 – this would be considered. E.G.2, Your premises need a new roof costing £12,000 – this would not be considered.  
  • A copy of the latest audited/verified accounts must be emailed to the Director (ablackmore@fourlanestrust.org.uk) before the closing date for applications. Failure to do so will result in the application not being accepted.
  • Decisions will be made purely on the information submitted on the application form and requests for further information including accounts will not be sent.
  • Please make sure that your application paints a clear picture of the group, the work that it does, how many people benefit from the group/service and how, if successful, how the grant would benefit the local community.
  • All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by email to the address given on the application form (please make sure this is correct) with all emails sent by 5pm Friday 19th July.
  • Grants will be paid by BACS transfer to a bank account in the name of the group only following submission of invoices to be paid or receipts of payment made which a relevant to the project stated within the application.
  • All grants awarded must be claimed and spent as per the application within 6-months of being awarded.
